What is HT Mapping Music?
HT Mapping Music is specifically designed as a music library only for the mapping community. It has been developed to address the issue faced by everyone related to mapping. The issue is that people look for atmosphere-driven videos that can be used within mapping videos. However, using such videos may be considered copyright infringement.
Each song that is released under the HT Mapping Music label is produced exclusively for mapping purposes, giving the creator the flexibility to concentrate on storytelling, pacing, and world-building without any concerns about copyrights, strikes, or revenue.
Why does this project exist?
Mapping relies heavily on the usage of music for communicating tension, ideology, collapse, control, and uncertainty. Yet, most available music is copyrighted, unsuitable, or overused.
HT Mapping Music was created to provide original soundtracks, specifically tailored to mapping themes, such as geopolitics, dystopia, decline, authoritarianism, and global conflict, so mappers can monetize their content while still using quality music, made specifically for mapping.

Copyright and Usage
All music released on HT Mapping Music is licensed under CC-BY 4.0, and music from any channel on HT Mapping Music may be used for monetized mapping videos for free without any copyright strikes or limitations on videos using said music.
The sole prerequisite is proper credit for any use of the work ‘HT Mapping Music’ by its authors, according to instructions found here.
HT Mapping Music is not a royalty-free library. It is a focused, community-driven archive designed to grow alongside the mapping scene.
About the Creators
HT Mapping Music is a collaborative project by Tectus and Glacian, both active members of the mapping community. The project was built from direct experience with mapping production and the lack of reliable, purpose-made soundtracks. Every release is shaped with mapping storytelling in mind.
